I have had my "Contex" British" 2-C battery flashlight since 1959. My plastic little tool bag, is black outside and red inside. I have applied formula to keep the plastic soft. I would make one recommendation. Make sure the batteries are checked often to ascertain if any corrison has commenced, since the chrome, plated housing appears vulnerable to the battery chemical-leakage. My little tool kit is one of a kind and works great. My mon used it many years ago at her Boeing Air Plant work site in Kansas.

I have this lamp but without the case, bits or knurled nut, BUT it still does a fantastic job with other bits from the toolbox. Immensely useful and bright little tool.
