I was just curious of the value of such an old flashlight , since i happen to own one myself. This one in particular is in a little better shape than mine.

Well, in the last couple of hours I have learned among other flashlight-things what "Baby Miner" means, "Baby" means 2-cell and "Miner" means big lens, and the reason I looked into all this is because yesterday at a garage sale I got this same flashlight except it says "Eveready Daylo" on the battery end-cap, and its switch is not "shrouded" like on the Aurora. This thing is in great very useable shape, the first thing I did was unscrew the cap expecting to find leaky-battery dreck inside, but no, someone 50 years ago had the good sense to remove the batteries from it before relegating it to the attic, I suppose ;) It's just a wonderful object, it shows every sign of having been happily but gently used, sometime "back then", I've learned that it can be no newer than 87 years old (that "Daylo" was dropped in 1921) -- wonderful -- the composite material of which its barrel is made feels almost warm in my hand -- and switch action seems perfect -- I might not ever even put batteries in it, though I can see the bulb is very likely functional -- just thought you'd like to know ;-)
