I have one that I bought in 1982 while stationed in Germany. It takes 2 N batteries. It has the logo on the barrel. Probably made around 1980 or so.

If this unit takes only 1 battery, whether an N cell or an AA or AAA, it would take bulb #112. These are sometimes available at Radio Shack.

I have one of these in mint condition with the original box and batteries. It was my fathers. I am not sure where he bought it. He was in the US Army.
