I've got this model 1618. Is it worth anything?

Bought a 1618 Bright Star (on end cap)yellow w/black switch. Has Narragansett Elec Co. printed on the side. Get this $.39 at Salvation Army. Couldn't believe inside all Copper coated steel. Great little light.
I have one of these. I used it on board merchant marine ships in the fifties and sixties. It is at least 50 years old.
Once, I dropped it from the top of the engine room. It fell about 70 ards, on a steel grating, bounced up and fell in the bilges of the engine room. I found it back because it was working under water! I still use it on my yacht. What a quality...

Bright Star lights that look like this aren't necessarily all from the 1940s. These lights were manufactured into the 1950s, if not the 1960s. I have some Bright Star industrial lights from the early 1970s that have a slightly different switch but otherwise look like they could have been cast from the same molds as this one.

I bought one at a flea market for $2.00. It's in good shape and works great. I didn't know it was 70 years old. Mine has "BRIGHT STAR NO. 1618" on the side and "BRIGHT STAR made in U.S.A." on the back cap.
