Wheelman, Your Flashlight is also a Continuity Tester. They are great for troubleshooting low voltage circuits and are still in use today. I have a later model (Bright Star no. 2618). Mine has "Stolen from Sharon Steel" on the barrel. An Electrical Engineer was amazed when he saw me gate an SCR (Silicon Control Rectifier) on a DC Drive and make a motor run.

Anyone know what the story is with this flashlight (I think it's this one) but, it has a testing plug on the butt end?

Great light! Mine is all black with see though red lens ring. I got this one in a hand-me-down shop in Arington WA. (Old logging town). This light was ordered by the Kaiser Steel Corp. near Spokane Wa. which is printed on its side and by its looks she got lots of use. Kind of neat to know some of its history!
