My grandfather Hans Harry Klebs and his brother-in-law Charles G. Woellhaf both worked at the Bright Star Battery Company. According to family records Bright Star was located at 200 Crooks Ave., Clifton New Jersey.
The flashlight above is exactly the same as one we have hanging on the wall in the garage and it still works.

I have a similar model, but it is a two cell model, approved for use in methane/air mixture (mining).
