The lens ring on this flashlight wasn't developed until the end of 1995. Therefore the light shown should be Circa: 1996.

I HAVE A #2117 FOR MINING THAT SAYS "CONSOLIDATED EDISON SYSTEM ' IT HAS A SEAL FROM THE US DEPT OF INTERIOR-BUREAU OF MINES...TESTED IN METHANE AIR MIXTURES ONLY...KIND OF A REDDISH BROWN BAKELITE...GREAT FOR USE WHEN FARTING UNDER THE SHEETS!......E-MAIL ME IF YOU WANT TO SEE A PIX

my father was president of bright star for over 30yrs . The made the most durable lights an received many awards from the govt for its performance

This flashlight is the best I have used. Being in the Coast Guard, I have used many different flashlights but this one has met the demands that I need in one. I have my people use this flashlight in with the P-6 drop pumps because it is made for hazardous atmospheres along with working in an engine room.
