The LED version of this mini light wasn't around until 2003. Dan must have taken the version that looks exactly like this, except it had a regular filament bulb. I had one like that (filament) - came in a pack of five lights in a blister pack.

I worked in retail in 1995 and took a bunch of these to Panama to hand them out to kids, so these were available prior to 2003!
