I have one of these lanterns, it belonged to my dad who was a fireman until the late 1940's. It has a number scratched on the bottom. NO. 509

I have one of these flashlights. It used to be my Dad's. He was a wheelsman on the Cedarville, which was a freighter on the Great Lakes. The Cedarville went down on May 7th, 1965. He died that morning from shock and exposure to the cold water. I was just 2 years old.
