gary on Jan 21, 2011 - 3:30 PM I have an Eveready, Nickel Plated, possibly a model 2630 flashlight (2, C-cell batteries and is just like the one in the photograph), that belonged to my dad or his dad and later given to him. My dad was born 11/4/1911 and in died 2006. I was given the flashlight by my Mom in 2010. A patent date of "Oct 19 1915" is stamped on the barrel and it has a fish eye shaped lens. It‘s C cell, 5.5” total length, and the barrel is 1.095”. The lens is .368” thick and the ends are screw on 1.295” in diameter. Currently a #14 screw in bulb is in it and produces a 27” diameter light at 2’ from the wall. If anyone has the time, please tell me about it (circa mfg. date and/or other info). " John on Apr 28, 2010 - 8:44 PM I have the same flashlight with the same model # 2630 only the lens end of the case has 8 sides, not round like the one in the picture & is in good working conditon. My light was my grandparents, thay used it during the 20's to the 50's it was handed down to my mother than to me in the 70's. The one I have does not have the corrosion on the barrel that this picture shows.
