Aside from some minor scratches and rust on the plating that mostly came out with a CLR wipe it's like new, all original parts and works great. If anyone knows, why is it the 20+yo batteries (C cells) in it work fine, but if I put a modern pair in it won't turn on? Oddly mixing one of the oldies and a newbie works too and is much brighter too due to the newer cell. Ideas?
