this model was actually around in the late 1980s i remember when i was about one years old (1988) there was a stormy winter night and the electricity went out my parents had one of these lights during that power failure it is the first time i remember experiencing a power failure (yes i have a sharp memory of my early child hood for those of you who don't know me)
