I just bought one in MINT condition! It has some numbers in it written in pencil. I can barely make them out. Does anybody know how i can preserve it without ruining its value?

I have one like this, with a slide up door on the back, and a swing handle on top. it also has a card board box with three " D " size batterys, the box has the following on it No. 734, 3 cell, EVEREADY,
Battery, National Carbon Co.Inc. New York-San Francisco, made in USA,
Circle with a" C " in it. 1924 N.C. Co.Inc. batterys and box are in very good shape. Queston ? does the box with batterys add much value?
