mike on Nov 27, 2007 - 3:46 PM i have a hand lamp like this one but mines a lighter coloured one it came compleate with eveready 1215 battery the battery was from the 50s.the torch is much older. i rebuilt the battery using 3 aas in a battery holder as it was four and a half volts.i think most of these wooden torches oparated on this voltage.the older type evereadybattery would have had the britania logo on and some of these torches had eveready specialaties on them.still its nice to have one of these even better to have the original battery with it rebuilt to keep it original.
