the model number of the correct bulb for this flashlight would be a PR12.

Hi I have a version of this flashlight that uses 2 D batteries. The bulb looked good but it wont turn on. Broke the bulb trying to get it out. what kind of bulb do you recommend for this 2d version

You need to get a 5 cell PR bulb, for example, one of the 5 cell PR bulbs that Maglite distributes.

I have acquired this model flashlight in very good condition. My only problem is that it keeps blowing out the standard flashlight bulbs that are used in the 2 and 3 cell units. Is there something malfunctioning in the switch, or do I just need to obtain a heavy duty bulb. The standard bulbs flash and burn out in a split second after clicking on the button switch.
