This flashlight survived years of use and abuse including 3 years in Alaska and 13 more years rolling around in the back of the car. It was even run over by the car and still works. This was particularly outstanding because it's made of thin aluminum on the inside, with a thick rubber cover. It sports a reverse clicky, which I generally dislike, but it was an amazing light at the time.
Note: You might want to change the date to Circa 1990, as that was when I bought it. I couldn't find any anywhere when I looked for more in 1998.
