I bought one of these and it was the best flashlight I've ever had. I lost it in a fire. I've been looking for a replacement, used or otherwise, to no avail. If anyone has one, or finds one I would like to buy it or even would pay a small finders fee if you just locate it. I would pay 20 for one or 5 for a finders fee. Please email me if you know of one I can procure.

i am looking for a different garrity model that was around in the 90's. it is not pictured on this site, and i cannot find it anywhere online or in stores. the model was the R300G (the mini rugged lite) it was my favorite flashlight growing up, but i lost it in 2001. if anybody has one they dont want email me, i could buy it or trade one of my flaslights for it.

this flashlight was very popular in the late 1990's. it was very strong and rugged, had a tire smell and i liked the bright krypton beam. i was given one for Christmas in 1998. then i found on at the dollar general on sale in january of 2007. Garrity made a similar flaslight in circa 1998 that was made of plastic but had rubber on the head tail and switch, it was called the "Rugged Lite". It came in the 2D and 2AA models, and i wish they would put it back on the market.

This flashlight (the older style T500) is comfortable to hold and is virtually indestructable. The on/off button is located in the base which eliminates accidental shut offs. The lanyard prevents the flashlight from going anywhere if dropped and can be used for hanging the flashlight when you need a stationary light source. Unbelievably, they decided to stop making these and are now marketing a completely different flashlight as the T500.
