I just found one burried in trash under an old house.It has a red battery box and says "U.S.GOVERNMENT JUSTRITE NO.1904-5 MADE IN USA".Idon't think it ever had batteries in it.New batteries and put in the spare bulb,it works great.

I just found one today in my grandpas storage shed, mine is a lite green in color and in good cond. for its age. the wire is in great shape and the bulb is good too. had tar on the bottom of the mounting area of the light so dont know the real history of it I know my grandpa did some mining back east, but thats about it.

I just found one of this still in the box model no. 1904
Still had the paper work the only thing missing is the head strap.
has not been used.

My uncle gave me a light just like the one shown for my birthday. It has been well used but it still works really good. Glad to finally find out some information about it.

I got one that is painted red, with a model #1904-5. When I tried to fit 4 D size batteries into it the lid did seem to work. Not sure if the bulb works, must check, it had a GE 602 in it, not sure if it is rated for 6 v or not
