I just picked up one of these A-3 flashlights dated 1942 that is in absolute mint, unused condition. Any idea what it may be worth? I also bought a mint, unused, still in the box TL-122-A flashlights as well from the same person. It is also dated 1942. Any thoughts on that one?

Rich,
Yes this light was used by aircraft mechanics in their repair duties during hours of darkness. I have one dated 43 and LOVE IT!

Just purchased one of these marked "Property, Air Force U.S. Army" dated 42. I understand that it can be carried as a lantern or worn as a miner's "headlight" but what was it used for by the Air Corps?
