BECAREFUL ON THIS WORDING..."LIFETIME WARRANTY" LOTTA TIMES..THEY MEAN...THE "LIFETIME" OF THE FLASHLIGHT...WHICH COULD BE ANY NUMBER OF MONTHS OR YEARS...WHOS TO SAY?? BUT NOT THE OWNER'S LIFETIME...SO ITS A TRICK PHRASE...ONLY A FEW TIMES I SAW IT SAID THAT A PRODUCT HAS A "lIFETIME" WARRANTY FOR THE ORIGINAL OWNERS LIFETIME...

The switch on my red lumilite 4700 (6v) lantern does not work any more. Can I buy one? If so, where and how?

Looks like this is a case of, "if you can't fix it, feature it". I love that Lumilite but the switch is going... Put a 6V Remington rechargeable Lead Acid battery in it and it will outlast anything. Except, of course, the switch! Gotta be a workaround!

The switch on my unit is gone as well and unfortunately, I haven't kept my 25 year old receipt. Is it possible to replace the switch or am I better off to splurge for a new unit?

ME TOO on needing a new switch. Shame the company made a nice flashlight except for lack of repair parts. It otherwise wroks great.
Send E-Mail to Leif Leif on Aug 9, 2007 - 10:39 AM
Lumilite does not offer replacement switches. Instead you would have to return the whole thing to the retailer (with you receipt of course) for warranty replacement. Just another "stick it to the end user" that makes us #1 in the world.
