This looks very similar in design but not as well made as a Philips xenon bulb flashlight that was sold in Europe for a while--as seen in Schneider's book at page 117. That European light is fabulously bright, with a very well-focused beam. I wish they had been imported into this country--I bought mine in a Paris department store in 1998.
