Mike, try getting a new bulb, or see if you can upgrade to an LED module. cj, yes these were made by fulton, in fact fulton still makes a similar one. i just saw it on their website.

These lights were designed to be pinned to life jackets so downed pilots / sailors could be more easily spotted. These were made obsolete, pretty dramatically, by LED and strobing lights that were brighter and had much better battery life. A slug of these lights, in NOS (un-issued) condition, probably dating from the 1960s, hit the market a few years ago. I think those were made by Fulton. I've seen these with both metal and molded plastic bodies.

I bought two of these in new condition in 2009. One works barely....emits dim light (like a candle). The other does not work at all. There is no corrosion. The urban legend was that you could see this light for a mile...not so from my experience. Any hints or history on this particular light would be appreciated.
