I had one somewhat like this it was 6 volt and dimmable. I loved that light. Used it to pick Night crawlers for twenty-five years till it got stepped on and crushed and so was I. Does anybody know were to get a dimmable head lamp.

ALTHOUGH I HAVE THIS LIGHT..AN YES...IT WAS A GOOD LIGHT FOR ITS TIME...MY NEW ENERGIZER "1 WATT" LED HEADLIGHT IS FAR BRIGHTER THAN THIS AN WATERPROOF TOO...NOT TO MENTION IT GOES A LOT FURTHER ON SMALL BATTERIES....WHEN LEDS FIRST CAME OUT...YEAH...THEY STUNK...VERY WEAK LIGHTING...BUT NO MORE...MY 5 WATT STANLEY SPOTLIGHT CAN BLOW AWAY ANYTHING INCADESCENT, FLUORESCENT OR HALOGEN...SOMETHING TO CONSIDER...

FORGOT TO SAY...EVEN THOUGH THIS USES A BIG HEAVY BATTERY...THE BEAM IS MORE THAN WORTH IT...LIKE WEARING A SPOTLIGHT ON YUR HEAD...SEEMS TO SHINE HALF A MILE AT LEAST....I MODIFIED MINE TO USE 4 "D" BATTERIES INSTEAD OF THE HEAVIER, MORE EXPENSIVE 6 VOLT...BUT A GREAT LIGHT...GLAD I GOT ONE BEFORE THEY STOPPED MAKING IT...

YEAH FREDDIE AN THOMAS...THIS IS A GREAT, FAR REACHING LIGHT...I HAVE ONE....MUCH NEWER THOUGH....LATE 1980'S....BUT LOOKS EXACTLY LIKE THIS...THE LAMP HEAD...ETC...AN THE 6 VOLT BATTERY GOES IN A BLUE VINYL POUCH THAT YUR BELT THREADS THOUGH...(YOU WEAR IT ON YUR BELT)...BUT A VERY VERY TIGHT, FAR REACHING BEAM....TODAYS HEADLIGHTS DONT EVEN COME CLOSE....

I have a couple of these, with the original boxes AND the dark blue plastic battery pouches with a belt loop and the cloud logo. The reflectors take a flange-type bulb (Rayovac K13 krypton bulbs work REALLY good with these!) and have molded-in plastic lenses in front. The headpieces have a copper finish and the elastic bands are black.
