I use mine all the time.
Mine has a red blinking top lamp too though.

P. S. The Rayovac battery you need to request is the 6-volt, 2-post No. 918 battery, if you order it from Batteries Plus or online.

Batteries are still VERY MUCH available, and from Rayovac! If you don't have a Mills Fleet Farm, Blaine's Farm and Fleet, Tractor Supply Co., True Value Hardware, Hardware Hank, or similar store, try Batteries Plus. I live in S.E. Wisconsin and Batteries Plus, at least in our area, will soon be almost completely dealing in Rayovacs. They should be able to order you one. If you have a Menard's chain in your area, they carry Energizer versions.
I have one of these brand new with tag, and I love it for camping, although I prefer my red-flasher version for safety while walking roadside.

I have one of these somewhere. I just wish I could still get batteries for it.
