I just bought one this week at the antique store. It is great, bright, and heavy duty. Should last for decades.

This is the flashlight ever made, made to last and built like a M1 tank.

I think this was the best flashlight ever made. I never had a problem with it, it provided good lighting, was durable, and was comfortable to grip. The casing was fairly heavy-duty. I do not know what happened to mine and wish that Sears still sold this model. I had one as a child and it lasted for years even with all the mistreatment by a child. My new flashlights just seem to quit working after a couple of years. I do not use the new ones nearly as much and take care of them better yet they are also more expensive and do not work as well.

The magnet light version of this model is labeled as a "SEAR'S explorer" according to the metal tag on the flashlight body.
