I found a lantern JUST like this one at the swap meet today. I am so proud of it..just need to get it working now!

My grandfather gave my brothers and me these from his 40 yrs on the railroad. They are blue. We still use them. The stand connects on the side and allows the light to pivot so it can freestand while directly light upward. Great for handfree working.

Most of the lights in this style that I see have a blue painted (anodized?) body, not chrome or bare metal.

I have this unit except that the body is chrome and the caps or tin plated, any idea what year my model was made?

Star still makes these; they are primarily for railroad use
