You could always tell these early "led" lights...they grouped a bunch of weak leds together..to give more light...The new ones are single super brite (5 watts or more) led in a deep conical lenz...that gives a white hot circle of light...almost too bright to look at...new led spotlights are far briter than the old halogen million candle power ones...they come a long way...
