Recharged light but doesn't work. Must be the bulb? But how do you get it open to get a number off the bulb to reorder. Web site given requires more information to select correct bulb. Any help would be appreciated.

The charger can be 12V AC or DC. For DC, the connector polarity is center-positive, outer-negative. The charging circuits uses diodes so if you accidently plug in a DC charger with reversed polarity it should be OK (though the charging LED won't light up and the battery won't charge.) I don't know the exact current required, but I measured the charging current around 200mA. So as Richard quoted, a 12V AC or DC adapter with 300mA or greater should work. By the way, the charging circuit is *really* simple and doesn't protect against overcharging. Don't leave it plugged in for longer than the sticker says: 3 hrs on DC, 10 hrs on AC.

I also am looking for charger specs. Called B&D who now owns Vector, they said it needs a 12volt 300MA charger but did not know polarity.

Dear Sir,

I would like to know the specifications of the 120 volt charger, mA current etc, because I have some 120 volt chargers but I do not know which below to this vector 1000000 candlepower rechargeable auto light.

I have one but lost the charging unit. I may have it mixed in with other chargers. What is the input and output requirements of the charger.
Also is there a phone number for the manufacturer? Thanks

I own a Vector Sport Spot 1,000,000 VEC127s as displayed on this web site. I have lost both the house and auto chargers which came with it and would like to obtain these chargers if at all possible. Is anyone interested in selling these two chargers?

Ours was terrific--for a year until the bulb burnt out. I'd like to know why the entire flashlight must be disasembled in order to remove the bulb. Then under the many steps to remove the bulb there's a note: it is suggested that you return the flashlight to Vector if bulb needs replaced. Why must it be this difficult???

I loved it until it crapped out. I suspect a fatal design flaw. You've got to be able to recharge the battery without ever running the risk that overcharging will result in the product being ruined. If we've envented gas pump nozzles that automatically shut down when the tank is full, why isn't it possible to do the same here?

Now I've got to buy a new one, and frankly, that's really irritating!
