The correct bulb is a 222. That bulb has an E10 base and is 2.25 volts. This is the correct bulb for screw base penlights powered by two AA batteries.

Having come across my old navy penlight I would like to get it working again but it's missing a bulb. Can you tell me the correct bulb for the penlight identical to the picture above, a Yates no. 6,type a 6-B.
It was issued to me during Navy pilot training in 1960. Thank you
